Hello and welcome to 1A-Wirbellose.de, my website about
freshwater shrimp and CPO crayfish.
I'm an aquarist for more than 30 years now. Five years ago,
I began my fascination with freshwater invertebrates, starting
with a couple of Dwarf Orange crayfish, and my journey into the
world of invertebrate keeping began. Since then, I have
had much joy in keeping invertebrates, and I have had the chance
to expand my number of species considerably. Here, you

Take care of living animals
I take great care with my animals, and feel responsible for them. Whether it is a fish, snail, shrimp, or crayfish, I do not consider it merely an object, but rather a living creature to be cared for. Unfortunately, all people do not hold my views, so sometimes animals are thought of as property. I guess nobody is perfect...
A few words on my breeding philosophy
I make a distinction between the mating of animals to reproduce and the breeding of them by a careful caretaker. While mating may happen arbitrarily, careful breeding by a caretaker involves the selection of quality breeding stock, their careful tending, and selectively pairing specimens to produce the best offspring. We take the best care of our breeding stock, down to feeding them their preferred foods.
